- **Event Description**: Join us this summer for a series of relaxed social evening hikes at scenic locations across the Dublin Mountains.About this EventPLEASE DON'T BOOK UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN YOU CAN ATTEND.This hike will have fewer stop-offs than our previous Summer Social Hikes. The route will follow along the eastern section of the Dublin Mountains Way (DMW), taking in Rathmichael Wood, Carrickgollogan summit and the Lead Mine’s chimney. We will then return to Shankill via the DMW passing by a Fassaroe Cross. The route surfaces include footpaths, county road, gravel trails and forest floor. On a clear day the views along the route are breathtaking.Important: All participants must have sturdy outdoor footwear and a rain jacket. For a full list of what to bring, please see below.Date: Wednesday, the 15th of July at 18:30 SHARP.Meeting point: Outside Brady's Pub from 18:15.Duration: 3-3.5 hours, approximately.Distance: 12km approximately, 290m of climb.Degree of difficulty: Moderate.Bring: Sturdy waterproof footwear, rain gear, warm layers, water, and food.Public Transport: DART and Dublin Bus. See link below to TFI’s Journey Planner.Parking is available at Brady’s Pub for €3, or for free if you dine or drink at the bar afterwards. Alternative parking available at the Dart Station.Leave No Trace: We will leave nothing but footprints and take nothing but photos and memories on this hike.No Dogs allowed on this hike.Please inform us privately of any health issues on the day and ensure you bring any necessary Medic*tion with you.In the event of an orange or red weather warning, this event will be cancelled.
