Stepping from Trauma Understanding to Trauma Responsive
This conference is relevant to all professionals working with Children and Vulnerable Adults, inclusive but not exhaustive to Social Care Workers, Social Workers, Healthcare Assistance, Carers, Teachers, Clinicians/Therapist, Youth Workers, and Students. The conference firstly provides the framework to understanding relational trauma. The Internationally renowned expert speakers build on this by focusing on how stepping from working within a Trauma Informed Model to include Trauma Responsive practice as professionals and as organisations in our work; leads to relational repair and progress for all those we care for. The conference will demonstrate how working within a Trauma Informed and Responsive Model of Care enhances the lives of all those we care for and additionally it can enhance culture within organsations and impact on organisational key objectives such as staff retention and engagement as well as build relationships with external professionals involved in the care of the person. The model is all-inclusive and transferable and relevant to both Mainstream services and Disability Services. The conference is interactive and engaging and participants will walk away with key skills, tools, and practices that they can utilize within their current profession to enhance their practices and ultimately the lives of those they care for.
