NEW King Cakes Baking $135/single or $165/pair. Monday 2/16 12-4:00 PM

Schools are out, so come bake with us. We’ll show you and a friend (10 years or older) how to make the quintessential dessert for kicking off and closing out the Carnival season. Pairs share cakes.

First, we'll make the traditional French version featuring buttery layers of puff pastry filled with almond frangipane and a whole almond tucked inside. It is often made for the Christian feast day, Epiphany in January when the Carnival season starts. Get the slice with the whole almond inside and you’re crowned king (or queen) of the party.

Second, we'll make the familiar New Orleans style of King Cake that's often served on Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday at the end of the Carnival season. It's made with a sweet dough and decorated with green, purple, and gold icing in honor of the official Mardi Gras colors and plastic a plastic baby tucked inside, for good luck and good fortune for the one who getting it. You’ll leave the class with your creations, recipes, and the knowledge to recreate them at home.

Our event tickets are like buying a ticket to a sporting event or concert. Although refunds or exchanges are unavailable, you may to give your ticket to a friend. If Our CupCakery must reschedule or cancel an event, we will contact you by the email address you provided at the time of registration. A full refund will be provided, or you may transfer to another event that is available.
