Skerries Tidy Towns with the support of Skerries Walking Club has registered for the National Spring Clean 2026 on Saturday April 28th 11 am - 1pm. We will meet at Red Island first car park at l1 am. We will do a clean up of the North and South Beaches.
National Spring Clean is Ireland’s most popular, well recognized and successful anti-litter initiative and is now in its 25th year. The campaign encourages every sector of society to actively participate and take responsibility for litter, by actually conducting clean ups in their own local environment. National Spring Clean traditionally takes place throughout the month of April.
This is Skerries Walking Club’s and Skerries Tidy Towns fifth year to participate together and it is An Taisce's National Spring Clean's 26th year. We are asking as many members as possible to come out on the day and help clean up our local area and make this year’s national event the largest yet.
Please contact environmental officer/committee member Emer Mc Loughlin, 086 1959689, TG91Z2hsaW4gISBlbWVybWMgfCBnbWFpbCAhIGNvbQ== if you would like to participate. We will have a limited supply of gloves, HI-Viz vests, bags, sanitiser and litter pickers to share. Please bring your own gloves high viz and litter pickers if you have them.
