This 1-day course introduces you to Microsoft Power BI in the perfect learning environment of the Marino Institute www.mie.ie
Power BI is the NEW spreadsheet program from Microsoft (launched in July ’15). The BI stands for Business Intelligence which is all about getting insightful summary information from your data. It does not immediately replace Excel but it can be described as a more modern take on what a spreadsheet can actually do. The objective of our course is to extend your spreadsheet skills to Power BI.
On the course you will start learning Power BI from scratch. This means, for example, we start with the familiar SUM function (same spelling as in Excel) to show you how it is similar but different in Power BI. A constant theme in Power BI when comparing it to Excel – similar but different!
There is no need to bring along a laptop on the day as computers (with FREE Microsoft Power BI Desktop pre-installed) are provided by the college in its excellent computer training room. Maximum class size is 8 people. Coffee breaks on campus in the Cloister Café.
