It is a visually explosive ode to Ukrainian folklore, love, and loss that feels both timeless and utterly alive.Why you should join us for this movie?Often called the Ukrainian Romeo & Juliet, the film set in a remote Ukrainian mountain region (Carpartians) where two young lovers whose families are divided by an old feud. The story draws on local folklore, rituals, and traditions of the Hutsul highland culture. Director Sergei Parajanov transforms it into a dazzling work of cinematic poetry— it is one of the most innovative films ever created.
