Learn Thai Yoga Massage - Weekend Introduction Course - Dublin
*** 2.5 Day Introduction Weekend Course + Optional "Refiner's" Practice Day ***
October 19 - 21 = weekend beginner's course
October 22 = optional day to refine the practice and dive deeper
** The single day of October 22 is optional and open to anyone who has completed a course with me before. **
WEEKEND INTRODUCTION COURSE
This course is an introduction to a unique bodywork modality and a deeper experience of it's main principles - loving-kindness and compassionate touch - from where we must begin our Thai massage journey. Thai yoga massage is an ancient bodywork practice that stems from yoga of India and Buddhism, yet more importantly, it is a magical journey of transformation, using meditation, presence and intuitive listening to encourage self-healing... for both the receiver and the giver!
In this course, you will walk away with a massage sequence to practice on (healthy) friends and family, as well as an experience of understanding skills that you can bring into your daily life, including compassionate touch, sensitivity, intuitive listening, and letting go of tension. A print manual is provided to help you continue practicing at home.
No previous experience is required. Great for anyone already working with body-based modalities (yoga, dance, massage, etc.) or anyone with an interest in finding deeper connections to themselves and others. In this intensive, we will joyfully explore the powers of touch and connection while practicing a simple routine that covers the body from feet to head. Different elements of Thai yoga massage will be explained along with its roots and principles.
OPTIONAL "REFINER'S DAY" - Monday October 22nd
The weekend course is designed for accessibility for those who are with full workweeks and lower budgets to be able to find time and space to attend the course. If possible, I recommend to take the additional day to create a 3.5 day course for yourself, as this allows more time to integrate, review and practice the material that is covered in a short period of time.
This day we will work with the same material used in the beginner's weekend course. There will be more time and freedom to practice one on one as well as review specifically the postures or principles that may not have integrated so well within the weekend. There will be more space for questions and discussing more deeply the different elements we bring into this work. Included will also be some more guided self-practices we can do for ourselves to work with our own energy and build internal strength to give to others.
**This day is also an option to apply to on it's own only if you have taken an introduction course with me before.**
Erica has been practicing yoga, spirituality and healing modalities for over 10 years. Having explored other forms of bodywork already, she found a real connection and faith upon discovering Thai Yoga Massage, and hasn’t looked back since. This work transformed her through its elements of creativity and playfulness, rooted in a spiritual practice that helps the healing of others as well as ourselves.
