? Be part of building the Democratic Party of Georgia from the ground up. Every two years, Democrats across Georgia come together at the County level to choose the people who will represent us on our County Committees. We want you in the room.

? What's happening at this meeting: We'll be holding three elections back-to-back: 
✅ Post Seat Holder elections: filling County Committee seats whose terms expire this gubernatorial cycle. These are the folks who do the day-to-day work of organizing Democrats here in Laurens. 
✅ Delegate election from our Post Seat Holders: choosing who will represent our County Committee at the 2026 DPG State Convention. 
✅ At-Large Delegate election: this part is open to the public. Any registered voter in Laurens who affirms they're a Democrat can both vote and run to be a delegate to the State Convention.

? Why this matters: Post Seat Holders are the backbone of our local organizing. These aren't ceremonial roles, they're how the Party actually works on a day-to-day basis. Delegates to the State Convention help vote on our nominees for the statewide election in November and make sure communities like ours have a real voice. ?️

? Who should attend: 
? Curious about how the Democratic Party works in Georgia? Come learn. We'll walk through the process and answer questions. 
? Want to run for a delegate seat? This is your moment. You don't have to be a current County Committee member to run as an at-large delegate; you just have to be a registered voter in Laurens and a Democrat. 
?️ Want to vote? Bring yourself. The at-large portion of the meeting is open to all Laurens Democrats. 
? Just want to support your neighbors? We'd love to see you there too.

Before you join us: If you're planning to run as a delegate or vote in the at-large caucus, please review and bring a completed Georgia State Convention Delegate and Delegate Elector's Affidavit; we'll also have copies on hand.
