Their unique sound has been ever-evolving, rooted in tradition, yet inspired by a myriad of influences and ideas from all around the world.Often defined as contemporary Irish World music, Kíla fuse the effects of their own melodies and Irish (Gaeilge) lyrics, Irish folk instruments such as whistles, fiddles, Uilleann pipes, bones and bodhrán with djembe, congas, drums, mandolins, brass, and acoustic/electric/ bass guitars. Kíla’s eight members come from the differing musical backgrounds of traditional, classical, and rock. The result is a fresh blend of freewheeling instrumentals, furious jigs, and primal rhythms that transcend the traditional boundaries of Irish music.Kíla have worked extensively in TV and film. In 2020 they won the IFTA for Best Original Score for the soundtrack or Arracht (TG4). Their most notable collaborations have been with French composer Bruno Coulais on the soundtracks for Cartoon Saloon’s three Oscar-nominated animated films The Secret of Kells (2010), Song of the Sea (2014), and most recently for Wolfwalkers (2020).Over the past number of years they are forever evolving and forever furthering their legacy in Irish music performing high profile events both nationally and Internationally and are still growing in popularity as one of Ireland's must-see live bands!Catch Kila this October for a very special Halloween party at The Purty Kitchen Dún Laoghaire for one night only + special guests C Faoi Thrí. - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/dublin/kíla-support-from-c-faoi-thrí-live-at-the-purty-kitchen/100001985012438639 - **Event Categories**: entertainment, music, halloween-parties, concerts, parties, performances, halloween, live-music - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 1 - **Event Highlights**: - Duration: 3 hours - Location: The Purty Kitchen - Languages: English ## Ticket Details - **Ticket Price Range**: min: 36.96, max: 36.96, currency: EUR ## Event venue details - **city**: Dublin - **state**: DN - **country**: Ireland - **location**: The Purty Kitchen - **lat**: 53.2952202 - **long**: -6.1481031 - **full address**: The Purty Kitchen, 3-5 Old Dunleary Road, Dublin, Ireland ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: KíLA + Support from C Faoi Thrí - Live at The Purty Kitchen - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events7/banners/4855af3dc1b117145a39881930cb886228824dbb18c1c1682e9502c8f2123c58-rimg-w1000-h667-dc17192e-gmir.jpg?v=1774401411 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is KiLA + Support from C Faoi Thri - Live at The Purty Kitchen being held? - **A:** KiLA + Support from C Faoi Thri - Live at The Purty Kitchen takes place on Sat, 24 Oct, 2026 at 08:00 pm to Sat, 24 Oct, 2026 at 11:00 pm at The Purty Kitchen, 3-5 Old Dunleary Road, Dublin, Ireland. - **Q**: Who is organizing KiLA + Support from C Faoi Thri - Live at The Purty Kitchen? - **A:** KiLA + Support from C Faoi Thri - Live at The Purty Kitchen is organized by Plug Artists. - **Q**: What has been the experience of attendees at Plug Artists's events? - **A:** Attendees have given Plug Artists a rating of 5/5 based on reviews from early attendees on AllEvents.
