While this course will provide the necessary knowledge and skills to undertake peripheral intravenous cannulation, it will be necessary for each nurse and midwife attending to ensure that they abide by their local policy on peripheral intravenous cannulation in their place of work.Participants are also required to hold the following: Hand Hygiene training certification (within the last 2 years); Management and administration of Intravenous drugs certification (within the last 2 years) and a Management of Anaphylaxis certification(within the last 2 years)
