It's time for bubbles and potato chips! We're sharing a selection of Grower Champagne from our friends at Skurnik and Cutting Edge with crunchy, salty potato chips, the perfect foil for delicious bubbles.
Two-thirds of the Champagne sold in the U.S. market are from one company, LVMH, under their Veuve Clicquot, Moet & Chandon, and other brands, mass-producing more than 10 million bottles per year just for the U.S. While I definitely don't mind drinking the wines, you're paying a premium for marketing and padding Bernard Arnault's pockets as one of the wealthiest people in the world. And there's a tipping point at this volume when quantity impacts quality. It's like JT's Pizza versus Pizza Hut. Nobody out pizzas JT's.
Then there's Grower Champagne. Smaller producers who grow their own fruit and make higher quality wines from top vineyard sites. You can get Premium and Grand Cru bottlings for a price similar to the big brands. We're going to share the wines of a few favorite producers from the various subregions of Champagne. We'll have Brittany from Skurnik and Sandi from Cutting Edge on hand to share these wines and more. We're including three very limited Special Club bottlings that were a preorder for the holiday for you to experience although there might only be a couple bottles of each to sell.

We have a limited number of spots to attend this tasting and you’ll have the opportunity to purchase favorites. Some wines can be limited and the lineup is subject to change based on availability but we'd substitute with similar wines. Some of the pricing can also change because some of the wines are hitting the port as we speak with impending tariffs but we won't change the price of the event. The pouring will begin at 1pm and end at 3pm, tasting at your own pace, so give yourself enough time to taste through the wines. We’re offering this tasting for $75 per person. This is priced down to the pour and the number of bottles we'll open so no repeat pours. After the tasting, you can grab a drink in the Dive Baar. If you’re also wanting heartier food while you’re here, you can order pizza from JT’s Pizza & Pub. You can cancel up to 48 hours before the tasting for a full refund by contacting Donnie at
