Green Enterprise Summer Camp for students
The Rediscovery Centre has partnered with NCAD to present Green Enterprise summer camps for young and emerging entrepreneurs. The one week camps will run on 8 - 12 July and 15 - 19 July. Second level students will work in groups over five days to develop a sustainable business idea that they will pitch in a Dragons' Den style presentation on the final day.
Each idea will be developed through a combination of discussions, sketching, subject talks, sustainability workshops, and hands-on prototyping activities.
During the week students will explore Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, Creativity, Innovation, Design Thinking and Design Strategies; Product based business and /or Service based business.
The camps will be of interest to secondary school students who study ANY of the following subjects:
Senior Cycle: Art, Business; Construction Studies; Design and Communication Graphics; Engineering, Physics, Politics and Society, Technology.
Junior Cycle: Visual Art; Business Studies; CSPE; Environmental Social Studies; Technology.
These camps are free to attend. Places are funded by the Higher Education Authority (HEA).
