Food for the Soul: Sarah Maria Griffin and Lilly Higgins
The future is exciting. From grassroots activism to worldwide action, we are entering an exciting period of history where the world expects gender balance. We notice its absence and celebrate its presence.
To celebrate International Women's Day, Sarah Maria Griffin and Lilly Higgins explore the world of food writing. Expect to hear lots about Lilly’s approach to writing about and presenting food and for the day that’s in it, we’ll explore women's culinary reflections. In food writing, we will see recurring political projects including the construction of individual identities, of community identities, and of a larger civic identity as well. How do we create a more fully human and equitable world though just, thoughtful, and pleasurable practices in growing, preparing and consuming what we eat?
