Emily Anderson Memorial Concert
The Emily Anderson Memorial Concert, pays homage to NUI Galway’s first Professor of German who was internationally recognised for her achievements in translating the letters of Mozart and Beethoven into English and in so doing offering invaluable insights into their work.

This concert opens with a performance of Beethoven’s Pathétique Sonata by pianist Joe O’Grady, aged 13. The concert also features performances by violinist Benjamin Baker violin winner of the Emily Anderson Prize at the Royal Philharmonic Society in 2013, and 1st Prize winner at the 2016 Young Concert Artists auditions in New York) together with pianist Daniel Lebhardt, winner of the Most Promising Pianist prize at the Sydney International Competition 2016.
