Developing Powerful Communication for Increased Performance

Developing Powerful Communication for Increased Performance

If you want to lead effectively you must learn to communicate powerfully. The latest findings in neuroscience reveal the correlation between verbal and non verbal management and performance. This one-hour session will wrestle with big ideas in a practical and interactive way.

Mark Downey
Mark is a leading voice, speech and presence coach and speaker based in Ireland and working internationally. Unique to Europe as the only teacher/ coach certified by the renowned voice and presence guru Patsy Rodenburg at the Centre for Voice and Speech in NYC, he combines her gold standard training with his certification in the study and practice of non-verbal communication under Jacques Lecoq in Paris. Mark believes that it is the birthright of every person to be seen and heard in the most powerful version of themselves: in confident presence where we have equality with everyone, grounded with gravitas yet open and alive with present human connection, freely expressed. He strives to embody his message in an energetic, spontaneous and fun way. “I am not so much teaching people anything new but helping them to remember what they have forgotten, that we are all hardwired to be completely compelling in our speech and presence.” Mark leads group workshops and coaches one-on-one. He is voice tutor at the National Theatre School of Ireland. Among some of his recent engagements includes work for: Google, Samsung(UK), EDF Energy, PwC (Canada), RSA Security, Teradata, Worldpay, EUIPO (Spain), Coca-Cola, Irish Distillers – Pernod Ricard, CRH, BNP Paribas, Mylan, Trinity College, UCD, Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
