YOUR CULTURE, YOUR HISTORY, YOUR STORY
Culture Date with Dublin 8 is a neighbourhood initiative which aims to celebrate Dublin 8’s rich cultural and historical heritage while encouraging people who live and work in the area to explore what is on their doorstep. This year, Culture Date with Dublin 8 is launching its year long programme, with a festival style weekend long series of free events, workshops and activities on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th May and a host of other events across the year.
National Drawing Day will also be taking place on Saturday 19th May, and all venues will be inviting you to explore the theme ‘Inspirational Settings in D8’ through the course of the day and on your visit.
These activities are taking place throughout the leading institutions and heritage sites: Richmond Barracks, Goldenbridge Cemetery, IMMA - Irish Museum of Modern Art, Kilmainham Gaol, The Irish National War Memorial Gardens and The Phoenix Park, all within walking distance of one another in the Kilmainham and Inchicore district.
All events are free to the public but may require ticket booking to secure your place. Tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
