Communicate to Connect - Foundation Training in NVC

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) helps us interact with others and ourselves in ways that bring more connection and less conflict. We bring awareness to what is alive in us moment-to-moment, with what we or others could do to make life more wonderful, and with an awareness of what gets in the way of natural giving and receiving.

NVC language strengthens our ability to inspire compassion and respond compassionately to others and ourselves. NVC guides us to reassess how we express ourselves, how we hear others and resolve conflicts by focusing our consciousness on what we are observing, feeling, needing, and requesting.

During the day, we will focus on:
* The language we've been conditioned to use, how it disconnects us and how we can translate it into language that encourages connection
* Using honest expression and empathic listening to encourage a flow to and from our hearts
* Connecting with what's really alive in us through self-empathy
* Establishing clarity and common ground by making non-evaluative observations
* Recognition of our common feelings and needs, and distinguishing these from thoughts, interpretations, and strategies
* How we can make life more wonderful, through making clear and effective Requests

FACILITATED BY:
DONAL GANNON, Certified Trainer with the Centre for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC), with a team of training assistants to support your learning and comfort: Sherry Marshall, Glenn Treacy, Yesim Tunali, Glenna Gerstenkorn and/or Sharon Kirk (depending on number of participants and location)

FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION:
We request you to contribute as generously as you are able along the sliding scales:
€70 - €150 for one day
€120 - €260 for two days

Includes extensive training workbooks, handouts and refreshments.

We offer this broad price range because we want this training to be accessible to all AND we need to cover costs and care for the sustainability of those who facilitate and organize it (catering, admin and assistance team, venue hire, training materials, website, travel, taxes etc). If you can afford and choose to pay at the upper end of the scale it allows us to welcome more people with lower financial means to attend.

We do our best to practice what we preach in all aspects of this work, so, true to NVC, these are requests and not demands, thus we are open to dialogue. So, If you can’t afford to pay within the scale, please contact us and we will try to work something out.

Limited number of places, so a deposit of €50 is required to reserve yours.
