- **Event Description**: This panel will identify pathways for harmonisation of policies and services across the island of IrelandAbout this EventThis panel follows the launch of a joint report published by the National Women’s Council and Women’s Aid Federation Northern Ireland in 2024 titled , supported by an All Island against VAW working group and funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs Shared Island Civic Society Fund. The report marked a significant milestone in cross-border cooperation within civic society to address violence against women, particularly intimate partner violence. It also underscores the challenges that the border presents in providing consistent support to survivors across both jurisdictions. This panel will have participants to allow for in depth and engaging conversations on access to emergency and long term accomodation. It aims to identify pathways for harmonisation of services and policies and improve access to safety for women and children victims of domestic violence and abuse across the island of Ireland. Please also advise Ivanna if you have any accessibility requirements. This will help us in our preparations for the event ivannay@nwci.ie by Friday, 31st of October.
