- **Event Description**: Join us for a collaborative workshop on partnering with children and young people in research.About this EventWe invite researchers, health and social care professionals, PPI leads, and anyone interested in meaningful engagement with children and young people in research to take part in a half-day in-person workshop focused on creating inclusive, ethical, and impactful research with children and young people.This will include presentations and workshops led by experts in this field: Kristin Liabo, Jane Chudleigh & Jennifer Preston.Learning ObjectivesBy the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:Explain the rights-based and impact-based rationale for PPI in research with children and young people.Apply a framework for equitable, diverse, and inclusive PPI to create an environment that supports young people from various backgrounds and experiences.Integrate PPI with children and young people throughout the entire research lifecycle.Co-design research elements, such as a patient information leaflet, recruitment strategy, or a PPI plan, for specific challenges in paediatric research.Formulate concrete actions to improve your own PPI practices and draft a report on a proposed PPI activity using a structured framework.
