REACTIVE ROVER @ St Endas Park, Including Human Workshop
Reactive Rover Course
This course is particularly suited to reactive dogs, as we will work on building your dog’s social skills during this course.
Because of the nature of this course, places are very limited, so early booking is advisable to avoid disappointment.
During REACTIVE ROVER CLASSES we will help you to understand why your dogs react as they do, and show you how to teach them alternate behaviour to barking, lunging, etc. all using reward based, positive reinforcement techniques. Please be aware that this course is not about finding a ‘Eureka’ moment or ‘fixing’ a reactive dog, but rather it’s about giving you as a dog owner a set of tools that you can use to better handle and manage your dog.
Fee: 4 Week course is €200.00
Week 1: Does not include your dog. This is an educational hour to learn more about behaviour issues as to why your pet is reacting as they are.
Vaccinations: Proof of yearly boosters up to date
Duration: This class is 4 consecutive sessions unless a break is mentioned. Each session is 1 hour per week. Each session will meet on the same day and time each week.
Course Material provided:
Reactive Rover Exercises
Email and Telephone Support
We encourage all family members who will be participating in training your dog to attend class. Children can be good trainers but they do require special consideration in a class situation. There are times when the child will have to sit quietly in class and we want their parents and others to be able to fully concentrate on the class.
For reasons of safety, we do not allow a single handler to bring multiple dogs to class. If you have multiple dogs, please ensure that you have multiple handlers – one for each dog.
Classes are non-refundable
If you do choose to transfer to another class start date or location there is a transfer fee of €10.00
Make-up sessions are always possible! If you miss a lesson we will move you into another upcoming class we will do our best to accommodate you.
DHPPi & Lepto 2/4 Vaccinations, are required before your dog participates in class. YOUR DOG MUST BE CURRENT ON ALL VACCINATIONS. Please check with your veterinarian to be sure your doggie is current on all shots. Vaccination Cards must be shown on week 1.
