Practical activities: Numbers and what they mean; Developing the language of maths; Embedding Maths manipulatives such as Numicon and other concrete materials into play activities; Getting used to number concepts

Practical activities: Constructing meaning; Working with pattern; Introducing Symbolic Representation; Calculating

Calculating beyond 10 Practical activities: Concepts of Addition & Subtraction; Equivalence in mathematical equations; Calculating with larger numbers

Moving On

Practical activities: Multiplication & Division; Division of whole numbers;fractions, decimals and percentages working with square numbers, Place Value; Money & Time
