Long Weekend - Birthday of Prophet Muhammad
A three-day weekend will run from Thursday, October 21, to Saturday, October 23 - the perfect amount of time for our classic Kurdistan itinerary, taking in top historical, cultural and natural sites of the region.
The "Other Iraq,"; also known as Kurdistan, is a semi-autonomous region in northern Iraq. It is home to the most beautiful scenery in the whole of the Middle East- huge canyons, beautiful mountains, endless rivers, and flowing waterfalls. It's rightfully been dubbed in Middle Eastern literature as 'paradise on earth!
Kurdistan is very different from the rest of Iraq, especially when it comes to safety; it's considered an utterly safe region to visit. Your only concern will be how to decline tea invitations from locals and their families politely!
