Please join us on Sunday, June 21st, at 3pm, for the Ram Dass Meet Up hosted by Spiritual Living Center of Atlanta (SLCA), at the Unitarian Universalist church campus at 2650 N. Druid Hills Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30329. We have an exceptional musical line-up, and we are deeply honored and very excited to welcome Jackie Dobrinska, Director of Education & Community for Love, Serve, Remember Foundation and host of Ram Dass’ Here and Now podcast, as our special guest!

Jackie is one of the beautiful beings helping steward Ram Dass’ living legacy in the world today. Through her work with Love, Serve, Remember Foundation, she helps build courses, community, and opportunities for seekers to gather around these teachings in meaningful and embodied ways. Many of us know her voice from the Here and Now podcast, where she introduces Ram Dass’ talks with such warmth, insight, and devotion. To have her with us in person is a real gift.

As always, we will chant and meditate, listen to and discuss the Ram Dass teaching, and share a meal together.

This beautiful gathering is truly community-run, and it comes alive through the care, presence, and participation of everyone who attends. Each of us helps hold the space: by bringing food, arriving with intention (and early, if possible), volunteering when we can, and supporting the practical needs that make the gathering possible.

Please take a moment to read the notes below so we can plan well and care for the space together:

RSVP: If you are planning to join us, please RSVP by Thursday, June 18, so we can plan appropriately. Please also let me know if you are able to volunteer.

VOLUNTEER: We need help with set up, during the event, and especially with cleanup. Please email me (or message me) let me know which slot works best for you when you RSVP.

BRING: Please bring food to share — this is so important!! Food is nurturing on every level, and your contribution is a gift of service to all. If you want to sit on the floor, please bring your own props. You may also want to bring a cup with a lid for chai. Please bring a friend or two!

ARRIVAL: Please arrive early so you have time to bring your food to the kitchen, grab chai, say hello, and find a seat before we begin.

LOVE OFFERING: Donations will be gratefully accepted by Nandi Dass to help cover expenses. There is no charge to attend, and any contribution is welcome — even $5 helps. If you are able, please consider giving a little extra to support those who cannot contribute at this time. Zelle and Venmo information are below.

This month we’re listening to a section of Ram Dass Here and Now Ep. 299: “Listening for Your Unique Manifestation.” This teaching feels beautifully aligned with SLCA’s June theme, “Claim It.” As Ernest Holmes writes in The Science of Mind: “Water doesn’t have to will to be wet, it is wet. Life doesn’t have to claim to be Life; It simply announces Itself to be what It knows that It Is.” Ram Dass invites us into a similar remembering: that each of us has a unique manifestation, a particular way that the Divine moves through this form, this karma, this life. The work is not forcing ourselves to be someone or something else, but listening deeply enough to hear what is already trying to come through us. In that continual listening, we begin to claim our life, not from ego or self-assertion, but from quiet recognition of what is true.

Jackie’s presence with us this month makes this gathering especially meaningful. Her life and work are devoted to helping people enter these teachings not only as ideas, but as living practice, community, and service. We are so grateful that she will be joining our satsang.
