Food Hygiene & HACCP Awareness (Level 1 & 2)

This course satisfies the requirements of the FSAI Training level 1 & 2.

Who is this course suited to: Individuals with no previous food handling experience, Food handlers (chef, kitchen porters, delivery, deli staff) from all sectors of the food industry – Catering, Production, Manufacturing, Creche, Start up’s, Back to work schemes

Course duration: 1 day

Location: Oriel Hub, Finnabair Industrial Estate, Dundalk.

Certification: The course is certified by SMC Food Safety Management Consultants on successful completion of a short test paper – Activity sheets and short videos may be used to support training.

Training objectives:

Enhance your knowledge and understanding of good food hygiene practices
Satisfy current legislative requirements
Demonstrate a clear understanding of contamination prevention and infection control
Ensure you and your staff are confident in the food you are serving and preparing
Course Content:

The course will be tailored to meet the requirements of your business and will include the following.

Food hygiene awareness
Contamination and Infection Control
Allergen Awareness
Safe Food Methods includes delivery, storage, cooking, hot holding etc
Personal Hygiene
Pest Control & Cleaning Awareness
Food Premises
HACCP / Food Safety Systems – Monitoring & Records

On successful completion of a short test paper candidates will be certified by SMC Food Safety Management Consultants. The certificate is valid for 3 years.
