She is also a NED, Chair of Governance and People Committee, and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee at Yorkshire Housing.Prior to transitionng into the charity sector, Ellie worked in private sector for 30+ years - in banking, consultancy and payment processing, working at TSYS for 18 years across many governance and operations functions, finally ending her private sector career as SVP for Business Operations in 2021.She is a strong advocate for continuous learning and the power of community.Julie Day brings more than 20 years' experience as Vision Rehabilitation Specialist (VRS). She has worked on Local Authority sensory contracts across York and North Yorkshire.Julie delivers Sensory Awareness training for all team members and Trustees at Wilberforce Trust, and has delivered the training across many organisations such as Nuffield and Spire Healthcare and Tier Mobility.
