When someone you care about is struggling with alcohol or substance use, it can be hard to know what to do.
You might hear well-meaning advice like “Let them hit rock bottom” or “They have to want to change.” But what if there is a better way, one that centers compassion, communication, and connection?
Join the Mental Health Coalition of Teton Valley for Rethinking Rock Bottom: Better Understanding Addiction, a free community workshop with Cordelia Kraus, LPC, CADC I, Certified CRAFT Clinician, and Invitation to Change Trainer.
Cordelia will introduce the Invitation to Change (ITC) approach, a science-based model that helps people support a loved one’s recovery while caring for themselves. This practical, hopeful approach offers tools for communication, boundaries, and understanding how change really happens.
Whether you are supporting a friend, family member, coworker, or simply want to learn more about addiction and recovery, you are welcome to attend.
• Monday, November 17, 2025
• 5:30 to 7:00 PM
• In person at Seniors West of the Tetons (60 S. Main St, Driggs) • Hybrid option via Zoom
Change does not start at rock bottom. It starts with connection.
