Paula & Karol tauchten vor einigen Jahren auf den polnischen Folkpopbühnen auf und eroberten das Land. Paula, polnisch-kanadische Soziologin, traf Karol, den Warschauer Musiker. Gemeinsam begannen sie Musik auf Englisch zu schreiben, Konzerte an Straßenecken und in Hinterhöfen zu spielen. Schnell wurden sie zu Pionieren der nun immer schneller wachsenden Indiepopszene Polens. Über die Jahre versammelten sie um sich die wundervolle Mischung an Warschauer Musikern, die sie als Band auf hunderten Shows begleiteten, in Polen aber auch immer öfter im Ausland. Ihre Alben produzieren sie mal gemeinsam in ihren Wohnzimmern, mal mit dem Grammy nominierten Producer Ryan Hadlock. Im Sound spiegelt sich ihre Attitüde wieder: DIY und doch Detailverliebtheit, herzerwärmende Texte und Melodien mit Ohrwurm- potenzial balancierend an der Grenze zwischen Pop, Folk, und Punk. Ihre Liveshows machten die Band bald bekannt, warm und emotional, grenzwandelnd am Psychedelischem singen sie über das Leben ihrer Generation, ihre Songs so persönlich wie eben nur möglich.
