- **Event Description**: In dem Stück richtet das Dance On Ensemble seine Aufmerksamkeit auf das Werk der Choreografin Noa Eshkol (1924–2007), indem es ihre präzisen Tanzkompositionen sowie das von ihr entwickelte Notationssystem rekonstruiert. Der Tänzer und Choreograf Noé Soulier reagiert darauf mit einer eigenen choreografischen Arbeit. Seine Praxis, die Tanz, Ausstellungsformate und theoretische Reflexion miteinander verwebt, führt den Dialog mit Eshkols Denken fort und bietet eine zeitgenössische Übersetzung sowie eine Weiterführung von Bewegung.  

Erstmals ist den Tänzen von Noa Eshkol ein ganzer Abend gewidmet, aufgeführt von Tänzer*innen außerhalb der ursprünglichen Noa Eshkol Chamber Dance Group. Gezeigt werden unter anderem Tänze aus „Theme and Variations“, der ersten Suite, die Eshkol mithilfe der Eshkol-Wachman Movement Notation (EWMN) entwickelte und die 1965 uraufgeführt wurde.   

Die Performance ist Teil der Reihe „Replies“, in der das Dance On Ensemble zeitgenössische Choreograf*innen einlädt,  auf Meisterwerke des 20. Jahrhunderts mit ihrer eigenen künstlerischen Perspektive zu antworten. Zuvor traten Mathilde Monnier und Tim Etchells in einen Dialog mit Merce Cunningham beziehungsweise Martha Graham. So entsteht eine fortlaufende Serie, in der sich Tradition und Innovation gegenseitig befragen.
