Sue Ray & The Rhythm Allstars don’t just play jazz — they ignite it.
Steeped in the sultry swing and timeless glamour of the 1930s–50s, this powerhouse ensemble delivers a night of toe-tapping jazz, smoky blues and irresistible rhythm that feels both nostalgic and thrillingly alive. Drawing inspiration from legends such as Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Louis Armstrong, the band reimagines the golden era with style, swagger and soul.
Fronted by the unmistakable Sue Ray — a three-time QMusic Award-winning singer/songwriter — audiences are drawn in by her rich, smoky vocals and magnetic stage presence. Backed by The Rhythm Allstars, a collective of Toowoomba’s finest jazz musicians, the sound is tight, dynamic and effortlessly cool.

Members of the fabulous Fibonacci Band – Nathan Hitzke, April Hitzke, and Harry Schneider, plus local jazz legends Ian Craig and Nick Williams.

ENTRY: TJS Member $15, Non-members $20. Annual membership of Toowoomba Jazz Society is available on the night.
PARKING: Access the car park off Gipps Street or there are parks in front of the bowling green in Ball Street and access via the gate.
ENTRANCE: Up the steps from the car park on the southern side of the building or from the bowling green side. Disabled access ramp on the Western side (Gipps Street) and through the bar.
