- **Event Description**: De indieband Bettie Serveert komt naar Iduna! Sinds de jaren ‘90 staan ze bekend om hun melancholische melodieën en introspectieve, serieuze liedteksten. De band stond onder andere op festivals als Pinkpop en Lowlands en ging kort daarna op tour door Nederland, Canada, Spanje, Duitsland en zelfs Amerika!

Na een valse start in 1986, toen de band zich 'Betty Serveert’ noemde, vielen ze na slechts één optreden uiteen. In 1991 werd de band heropgericht, onder de naam ‘Bettie Serveert’, vernoemd naar de instructieboeken van de Nederlandse tennister Bettie Stöve. Deze heroprichting trok al snel de aandacht van Matador Records, Brinkman Records en 4AD's Guernica label.

Uiteindelijk kwam de band met een debuutalbum ‘Palomine’. In 1995 kwam het tweede album ‘Lamprey’ uit. In 2001 besloot de band een pauze te nemen. Jaren daarna brachten ze vele albums uit, zoals ‘Bare Stripped Naked’ en ‘Attagirl’, met als gevolg een tour door Amerika, Canada, Spanje, Duitsland en een lange theatertour in Nederland. Ze toerden uitgebreid met artiesten als Belly, Dinosaur Jr, Buffalo Tom, Superchunk, Come en Jeff Buckley. Bijna 26 jaar later ontmoette Bettie Serveert eindelijk de tennister Betty Stöve op 13 april 2018. Zestien jaar nadat de bandleden Peter en Carol in Australië een project deden genaamd ‘ME & STUPID’, besloten ze één van de nummers te herschrijven en uit te brengen op 1 juli 2025 onder de naam ‘Ta!’

Tijdens de show zal Bettie Serveert een mix spelen van al hun favoriete nummers. Met onder andere het nieuwste nummer ‘Evil Side', uitgebracht op 23 januari 2026, staan zij op 23 januari 2027 hier in Iduna!
