Next up is Thursday, October 15th with Sailcloth.About this EventThe Doylestown Bookshop is teaming up with Stage United to present: MUSIC FOR BOOKSHOPS, a new series featuring live instrumentals from the worlds of jazz, ambient, classical, and lo-fi. Enjoy live music while you browse the bookshop and sip cocktails or mocktails by Hops/Scotch.Our next event is on Thursday, 10/15, with Sailcloth: Sailcloth is instrumental music written to explore the spaces of small melodies on big instruments. Upright bass played by Alex Luquet and harp played by Chelsea Smarr spend time creating ambiance from these songs to improvise with and explore the sound of the barns, forests, and bookshops they find themselves playing in. www.sailclothsounds.com"Acoustic music with aspects of drone and folktronic collage - yet it feels like it's own thing, not least because it's led by the bass. There are nods to jazz & Americana - and at other times, a twinkly post-classical bent, but mostly it has a warm feeling of enveloping darkness. One of the best releases on Lost Tribe Sound lately, which is high praise!" - (Peter Hollo) UTILITY FOGEach ticket includes seating and 10% off all purchases made in the bookshop during the event. The Hops/Scotch mobile bar will be on-site serving mocktails and cocktails. We carry an extensive inventory of new books, from classic literature to current bestsellers, and a curated selection of gifts, cards, toys and much more. Our staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and looking forward to helping you choose the perfect book for you or your family.\n\nBoth bookstores were sold again in September 2023 to long-time Bucks County residents and business owners Lauren & Damian Ford. \n \nWe opened our second store, the Lahaska Bookshop, in September 2017. The Lahaska Bookshop is located in Peddler's Village and is dedicated to providing the same customer service and wide selection of books that the Doylestown Bookshop provides." } ] } ] ```
