Tenebrae Service

A Tenebrae service will follow the 5 pm Palm Sunday Mass on March 29.

Tenebrae is Latin for Darkness and is an ancient liturgical tradition commemorating the Seven Last Words of Jesus, which are the seven last phrases spoken by Our Lord during the final moments of His bitter Passion during the crucifixion. Tenebrae utilizes darkness, candlelight, moving organ and choral music, reflections, and passages from Sacred Scripture to draw out the power and beauty of Jesus' final words. Come witness Jesus' intense love for us by prayerfully participating in this year's Tenebrae service.
