Join us for an epic mountain adventure taking in a more remote location in the Mournes, venturing off the beaten track onto trackless mountain terrain, getting to sample the stunning beauty and the peace and quiet of one of the Mourne hidden gems.We will start off at Trassey Carpark quickly venturing off trail to the summit of Lukes mountain and onwards to the secluded Pot of Legawherry. From there we climb through eerie tower-like rock formations to the col between Slieve Commedagh and Slieve Corragh. Steeped in local folklore.. Paul will tell you the story of the fairy King We then follow the Mourne wall to the summit of Slievenagloch and descend to the Trassey track via the flanks of Slievenagloch, returning to our start location.This hike is intermediate level with regards to how technical the route is. Good fitness, a head for heights and sure footing is required.
