Zhoshbon - Snow Snake

Snow Snake is a traditional Neshnabek game. It holds both practical and spiritual significance. The game piece is a carved, polished wooden pole that is thrown to slide down a track or trench built in the snow.

Come learn about Snow Snake and make your own in preparation for Snow Snake tournaments here at the Pokagon Band and with other tribal communities in Michigan.

We will be using sharp hand tools and some power tools. All ages welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Lunch and snacks provided.
