About the event

The Kwanzaa Experience

Kwanzaa, or “First Fruits of the Harvest” in Swahili, is a weeklong celebration of African-American culture, traditions, history, and community.

Each day of the holiday represents a guiding principle: unity, self-determination, collective responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith.

Celebrate (and learn about) Kwanzaa at this annual tradition on December 14th from 3 – 5 pm, brought to you by the CAC and the Douglas County Connection.
