From the tough streets of Hammersmith, London, young Frank Bruno channelled his energy into boxing at just nine years old. A "problem child" who found focus at a special school, he became the youngest-ever Amateur British Champion at 18.

Turning pro in 1982, "True Brit" exploded onto the scene with a staggering 21 consecutive knockout wins — 38 of his 40 career victories ended inside the distance, showcasing one of the most fearsome punching powers in heavyweight history. He thrilled millions at sold-out arenas, battling legends like Mike Tyson (twice) and Lennox Lewis.

After three heartbreaking world title challenges, Bruno finally lived the dream in 1995, outpointing Oliver McCall at Wembley Stadium to claim the WBC Heavyweight Championship — only the third Briton ever to do so. The roar of the crowd that night still echoes.
But Frank's greatest fight came outside the ring. Diagnosed with bipolar disorder, he faced mental health battles with raw honesty and courage. Today, as an MBE and founder of The Frank Bruno Foundation, he champions awareness, using boxing to support others.
