She later returned to Australia on a scholarship to the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. Lisa’s journalism career includes reporting for 2GB, KIIS FM and Channel 10 News, and working as an associate producer for Channel 10 Late News. Throughout her career, she has contributed to ABC Radio National and The Voice of America News Service. She writes opinion pieces and lifestyle articles on Italy for The Australian, Gourmet Traveller and many other publications.Lisa is the author of Walking Sydney (Pan Macmillan, 1998), The Promise – An Italian Romance (Pan Macmillan, 2004), Death in the Mountains (Pan Macmillan, 2008), which won the Victorian Premier’s Award for writing about Italians and Naples, and A Way of Love (Penguin Lantern, 2013), winner of the Australian Illustrated Book of the Year Award.In 2013, Lisa founded The Art of Writing, an international writers’ retreat and conference in Tuscany.
