With VEX IQ, this is your first step in creating kinetic, interactive art that benefits the world! You will be coding motors and sensors, connecting motors to fabricated objects such as cardboard, coding a vehicle to drive without falling or crashing and experience the mechanical advantages of linkages, gears and various mechanisms.
All welcome, no experience neccesary.

About the facilitator:
Science Educator Parker McLean has developed, hosted and managed over a dozen multi-day creative robotics programs in Canada and Australia including programs like Robotics Club, Make a Tech Pet and Robotics Design Studio. Parker’s robotics programs strive to be learner driven, place based and inquiry based. They blend art and design with engineering and modern technology, facilitating young designers to invent joyful experiences for others. He has worked with VEX IQ, Micro:Bits, LEGO Mindstorms, Ozobots, Dash Robots, Spheros, BeeBots, Makey Makey, cardboard, yogurt containers, batteries, wires and more!
