This Mother’s Day weekend, women across Alabama will gather in unity to stand for children, families, and accountability.
While this gathering is being held in solidarity with Mother’s Day, it is not limited to mothers alone. This is a community effort that welcomes women, families, and supporters who have been impacted by the system or who stand with those who have. The focus is on families and the collective responsibility to protect them.
When Women Speak is a peaceful, organized presence centered on visibility, solidarity, and collective voice. Even when courthouse doors are closed, the voices of women and families remain present and impossible to ignore.
This gathering is not about disruption. It is about dignity.
It is not about confrontation. It is about awareness, unity, and accountability.
Women and families will come together to show support for those who have been impacted, to remind institutions that silence is no longer an option, and to affirm that children and families deserve protection, due process, and respect.
This is a calm, respectful, unified presence.
Attendance is flexible. Come when you can and stay as long as you are able.
No personal stories are required.
No signs are required.
Your presence alone matters.
