The City of Dothan will hold a municipal election on August 5, 2025 for Mayor, Associate Commissioners (District 1-6), and Dothan City Schools Board of Education (Chair, District 1-6).

We invite Dothan's voters to come and hear the candidate's vision. Each candidate accepting our invitation will briefly present his or her platform and answer questions. We hope to offer candidates access to active voters and community leaders. This is a free non-partisan opportunity to learn more about your local candidates before the election.

The Wiregrass Area Pan-Hellenic Council, is a nonprofit 501c3 organization and does not endorse any candidate or political party. We promote interaction through forums, meetings and other mediums for the exchange of information and engage in cooperative programming and initiatives through various activities and functions. Furthermore, we contribute thousands of dollars and volunteer hours to the local and global communities. Our organizations are comprised of active, civic-minded, college educated men and women from Dothan and other Wiregrass cities.

The Entrepreneurship Council is a 501(c)(3) education and advocacy group for entrepreneurs, working in creative partnership with the Sorrell College of Business at Troy University. It started in 2010, as the Entrepreneurship Group of Dothan Mayor Mike Schmitz’s Economic Summit on Jobs. It now functions independently, with the indispensable participation of local entrepreneurs and community leaders, to stimulate entrepreneurial enthusiasm in the Wiregrass area. Local entrepreneur Mackroyce L. Corbitt, Jr., is President of the Entrepreneurship Council. Established in 1971,

Troy University’s Sorrell College of Business is one of only 195 schools in the world to have achieved dual accreditation (general business and accounting) under AACSB International, the world’s premier business school accreditor, as well as one of only 78 schools accredited by the Network of International Business Schools (NIBS). Dr. Richard S. Voss, associate professor in management, serves as the liaison between the Sorrell College of Business and the Entrepreneurship Council.
