Die legendäre britische Punkband SHAM 69 kommt ins Schlachthaus! Ihren größten Hit hatte die Band mit “If The Kids Are United”, mit dem sie revalisierende Jugendbanden aufrief, sich zu versöhnen. Mehr als 45 Jahre später ist die Band noch aktiv und kommt zum ersten Mal ins Kulturcafé Schlachthaus nach Dornbirn.

SHAM 69 mit Tim V am Gesang haben ihr brandneues Doppelalbum “To The Ends Of The Earth” herausgebracht. Die Songs des Albums spiegeln die Veränderungen nicht nur in der Gesellschaft, sondern auch in der Szene im Allgemeinen wider. Ein Spiegelbild unseres Lebens im Alter und all derer, die wir im Laufe der Jahre geliebt und verloren haben. Dieses Album ist auch eine Hommage an Neil Harris, Mitbegründer von SHAM 69, und an Tony Feedback, die beide nicht mehr unter uns sind.

Bereits 1975 gründete sich die Band in England. Sham 69 schrieb grandiose Hits wie „Hey Little Rich Boy“, „Hersham Boys“ oder eben „If The Kids Are United“ – Gassenhauer, die jedem Punk und Skin von damals bis heute bekannt sind.

Sie sind wieder unterwegs, wie jedes Jahr, mit Leidenschaft und dem Rock’n’Roll im Blut. Vorsicht, hier werden Ärsche getreten!

Support sind LILITH & THE NOISE BOYS aus Ljubljana, Slowenien, deren Musikerinnen und Musiker vor allem von der Band CLOCKWORK PSYCHO bekannt sind.
