“Sabi is kind, thoughtful and supportive. She meets you where you are and helps guide you to where you want to go. There is no self-destruction — only self-building.”
“An excellent tutor with a warm, understanding approach. Sabi really brings monologues alive by working deeply with voice, body and text.”
“Working with Sabi has been truly transformative. She helped me discover sides of myself I didn’t even know existed.”
“She creates an environment of trust, openness and creativity where you feel seen.”
Info: We begin the week by slowing down.
Monday focuses on grounding, embodiment and reconnecting with your inner artist. Through somatic, imaginative and ritual-based practices, actors are supported in releasing tension, listening inwardly, and reconnecting to creative instinct.
This work creates a foundation for the rest of the week — resourcing the actor, opening imagination, and cultivating presence to carry forward into text and performance.
This is actor-centred work designed to support creative freedom and confidence.
Info: Day Two turns to Shakespeare - not as something to battle, but as a living collaborator.
Actors are guided through ways of excavating meaning, uncovering character through language, and allowing the structure of the verse to support rather than overwhelm. The work moves from body and breath into text, letting the language energise and uplift performance.
The day builds gently towards sharing work, with participants exploring a monologue, scene, or sonnet in a supportive group setting.
Info: Wednesday is dedicated to contemporary text and the tools needed to bring modern writing fully to life.
Using a Stanislavskian framework, we explore how to approach a script with clarity and curiosity, working in depth with the 10 questions and beginning to play strong, specific actions.
Actors are supported in integrating the embodied work from earlier in the week, allowing text to land with truth, clarity, and intention.
Info: On Day Four we explore Meisner Technique — training the actor to live fully in the present moment and respond truthfully to their partner.
Through repetition and listening exercises, actors work on releasing self-consciousness and trusting impulse. In the second half of the day, these principles are brought into text, using material explored earlier in the week or text you choose to bring on the day.
The focus is on spontaneity, connection, and truthful behaviour within scripted work.
Info: Friday is both a release and a return.
The morning focuses on improvisation, play, and rediscovering freedom - reconnecting with curiosity, humour, and the courage to take risks. We explore the importance of letting go, not overthinking, and remembering the joy of not trying to “get it right”.
The afternoon becomes gentler and more reflective, closing with a grounding, ritual-based practice to integrate the week’s work. Actors are supported in consolidating what has been uncovered and returning to self, artist, and craft.
This day can be attended as a powerful standalone experience or as the completion of the full journey.
