Countryside walk passing rural villages, castle ruins, a quarry and a visit to the Meerkat Retreat in Brockham.
Enjoy our new autumnal country walk in the lovely Surrey countryside between Dorking & Reigate.
Whilst set within the Surrey Hills Natural Landscape this walk takes place within a piece of stunning countryside on relatively flat plain below the North Downs.
We will visit picturesque rural villages, a nature reserve, some industrial history, ancient churches including a famous film location and charming country pubs – one of which has its own colony of Meerkats and another one we will stop for a much needed refreshment break.
Difficulty: Moderate
Duration: 3.5-4h approx, plus time at Meerkats Retreat at Royal Oaks Pub (after the hike)
Bring: snacks, drink, money for pub
