Following significant interest, I am excited to be re-running last July's workshop!
Discover the transformative power of yoga, zen, and hara in this experiential workshop designed to reconnect you with your vital centre.
Through a blend of mindful yoga, zen meditation, and focused hara practices, we will:
Engage in yoga sequences that draw together movement, breath, awareness of the body, and hara, bringing physical stability and mental clarity.
Explore the history & concept of ‘hara’—the body’s centre of gravity and energy, located in the lower abdomen—as a source of grounding, balance, and developing our inner strength.
Practice zen meditation techniques to calm the mind, deepen awareness, and cultivate presence, drawing on our breath and posture to develop hara and vital energy (ki).
Learn simple and practical methods for daily life to help us relax, focus and build resilience.
Open to everybody, this workshop offers an approach to wellbeing where you will discover the richness and beauty of your life that can only come from living from your true centre, your quiet strength.

A variety of refreshments will be provided. Please bring your own lunch or snacks. (Note: no heated food within the studios.)
Worried about the movements? Don’t be… all movement can be done from a chair seated position if you need.
Wear comfortable clothing with layers you can add if needed. We have plenty of mats, cushions, yoga bricks and bolsters, but you are welcome to bring your own.
