Let yourself be swept along by this swooningly romantic period drama of the 90s which also serves as an anthology of our greatest ever playwright and his timeless declarations of love.
We are delighted to team up with Langham Wine Estate for the first time with an outdoor cinema in the grounds of this award winning vineyard. Delicious summer picnic from Smiths Kitchen is available to pre-order to be enjoyed before and during the film.

Dominating at the 2000 Oscars, this UK/USA co-production was a sensation that brought our national bard to a new generation and made a freshly minted superstar out of Gwyneth Paltrow. She plays Viola, muse to the young and inexperienced Shakespeare as he attempts to finish his latest play Romeo and Ethel (!). The dialogue often uses Shakespeare himself, as curated by screenwriter Tom Stoppard, who, as in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, makes us look anew at the old texts, and saves the best lines for Judi Dench’s Elizabeth I - who righteously took home an Oscar for less than 6 minutes screen time.
Access to the restaurant and bar starts at 6.00 pm to allow you plenty of time to enjoy delicious food from Smiths Kitchen and of course Langham sparkling wine...
Gates to the film screening area will open from 7:30 pm.
Film starts 8.55 pm (depending on levels of light).
