🌿 Sunshine Coast Foundations Clinic
Interactive Group Learning + Private Lessons
This one-day clinic is designed to deepen your understanding of how horses move, communicate, and organise their bodies, and how our handling, timing, and body language directly influence balance, posture, and performance.
This clinic will run combining interactive group learning in the morning with private lessons in the afternoon.
What the day looks like:
Participants will work in pairs, each with their own horse.
Across two one-hour group sessions, pairs will switch horses for the second session, allowing for observation, discussion, and shared learning.
Through in-hand activities and exercises, we’ll explore:
Biomechanics and functional movement
Alignment, balance, and posture
Timing and subtlety of aids
Reading the horse’s body language and communication
One person will handle the horse while the other observes, gives feedback, and develops their eye. I’ll be working closely with everyone, demonstrating, guiding, and answering questions throughout.
After the morning sessions, we’ll pop the ponies away for a Q&A / theory session.
Afternoon — Private Lessons
Each participant will have a private lesson where they can:
Continue the morning’s in-hand work, or
Choose a ridden, lunging, or long-reining session
Who this clinic is for:
Riders and horse people who want to better understand how and why things work
Those wanting to develop their eye for movement, posture, and alignment
Anyone interested in ethical, sustainable foundations for performance
People who enjoy learning through observation, discussion, and hands-on experience
Places are limited to 8 participants to ensure quality learning and individual support.
Fence sitting is available for those who’d like to observe, listen in via headset, and be part of the learning environment without bringing a horse.
