About Our Expert Guide:

Elizabeth has a passion for conservation education and has spent over eight years working in that field. She is happiest when she is able to share her knowledge, enthusiasm and love of nature with the public! She is an avid birder and nature lover who relocated to the Valley a year ago. A lifelong naturalist with an early fascination with reptiles and amphibians, Elizabeth developed a passion for birding after doing field research in Ontario as part of an undergraduate research team studying American Goldfinches. Since graduating from Trinity University in 2018, Elizabeth has become an active member of the birding community, from serving on the San Antonio Audubon board, to leading bird walks and participating in events like the Great Backyard Bird Count, Lights out Texas and Christmas Bird Counts. Since moving to the Valley, Elizabeth has gotten involved by leading bird walks at Santa Ana NWR and guiding for the Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival.
