Our 200 hour Yoga Teacher and Lifestyle Therapeutic Training will be starting back in the classroom on January 10th, 2026. Active Kat Yoga is a Registered Yoga School with the Yoga Alliance All trainings are under the direction of Certified Yoga Therapist, E-RYT 500 Yoga Teacher, Certified Health Coach, and Active Kat Yoga's Education Director, Kat Robinson, so all trainings also have the basis of yoga therapy. Graduates of our training are eligible for Yoga Alliance Registration, those holding a bachelor's degree are eligible to enter the Master's of Yoga Therapy program at Maryland University of Holistic Health Our Syllabus includes: Asana Pranayama Meditation Mantra Mudra Bandhas Special Populations Principles of demonstration, observation, assisting, and correcting Teaching styles Body systems and organs Energy Anatomy The Koshas Anatomy and physiology as it pertains to yoga The Doshas and Ayurveda Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and The Bhagavad Gita Yoga Lifestyle 8 Limbs of Yoga Dharma and Karma Ethics – Teacher Student Relationship Seva The Chakras Communication and Time Management Both Yoga Alliance and Maryland University have described our curriculum as being one of the most comprehensive they have seen.
