- **Event Description**: On 10 November 2005 The Exiles played their first gig in Doha and went onto have a great following in the years to follow and played some amazing and memorable gigs. 20 years later and after many line-up changes the band are still going strong and have retained their amazing following.

This Friday sees the return of some past members of The Exiles to perform along side some of the present members of the band, this will a unique, one-of-a-kind gig for The Exiles with a special guest appearance from Mr Peter Doole (one of the founding band members), who is travelling all the way from New Zealand to get on stage with the band he helped create. As well as Peter Doole, we see the return of over 10 more past members of the band.

In addition Peter Gibson, the member of the band having played with most of the The Exiles in his 17 history, initially as the bass player and then on lead vocals. Having played with 4 vocalist, 16 guitarists, 4 bassists, 4 keyboardists and 10 drummers, 38 of the 44 other past and present band members - will be cutting his hair for charity (more details in the event) on stage, right before the greatest line-up of The Exiles we have ever had on one stage. We have 8 different lines-up of the same band playing in one night. 

And for this 20th Anniversary Gig we are fortunate to be playing at the one and only Shamrock Tavern, the best place in town for Live Music, Great Craic and the best Pub Landlords in Doha . . . . Chris & Melvin Garvey, who, along with Danny, Rosaleen & Anthony, have supported The Exiles since 2005 with gigs in the Garvey's European Club, the Rose & Thistle, the Shamrock Tavern (Magnum & Delta).

This will be another fantastic night of live music and entertainment from The Exiles who are celebrating their 20th Anniversary, who would have thought 20 years later and 45 members in we'd still be rockin' with the Garvey Family!!

We suggest to get your table booked early (it was fully booked last time we played and this is one special night) and don't forget to bring an original ID (Qatar Residency Permit or Passport) for entry.
