- **Event Description**: To mark the arrival of spring, we’re bringing a traditional wood-fired barrel sauna to Chalk for a special weekend of Warmth.About this EventImportant- if you would like a private booking (4-6 persons) please book 4 slotsThese sessions are part of a developing Chalk space, intended to support connection with nature, gentle restoration, and the gradual building of a local community centred around wellbeing and the land. The sauna sits within a peaceful open equine landscape, surrounded by fields and big skies. You may see horses moving through the space, sometimes even while you’re in the sauna, adding to the calm rural atmosphere. Each booking includes 60 minutes in the sauna, with access to a cold plunge / ice bath for contrast therapy and a hot outdoor shower (in our converted horse trailer), followed by time to relax around the outdoor fire pit or inside the cosy yurt with log burner with herbal tea. Sunset is around 6:30pm, so evening sessions may include beautiful changing light across the Downs. There are beautiful walking, running, cycling, and horse-riding routes directly onto the Downs from the site, including the climb towards Ditchling Beacon. You’re very welcome to combine your sauna with time outdoors before or afterwards if you’d like, encouraging deeper immersion in the South Downs landscape. Parking is available on site, including space for horse lorries and larger vehicles if needed.
